paul thurlby [1971] is an acclaimed london-based illustrator with nottingham roots. thurlby's work is graphic and colourful, and he enjoys working with a wide variety of clients, ranging from the new yorker and monocle, to the french tourist board and the guardian. the artist loves original vintage posters and postcards, and this is clearly evident in his latest show that'll open on thu – oct 12 [6pm-9.30pm] at sergeant paper store and gallery in paris. aptly entitled meet me in paris, the show presents a series of new works depicting his fave sights, monuments and neighbourhoods in the french capital in his usual colourful retro-style. and for all you fans out there: thurlby will be attending the opening for a meet and greet! location: 38 rue quincampoix [marais].
